RevTek Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (either an individual or the organization you represent, “you”) and RevTek (“RevTek”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the RevTek software, including the RevTek plugin for Tekla Structures, the RevTek add-in for Autodesk Revit, associated update services, cloud services and documentation (collectively, the “Software”). By selecting “I accept the agreement” or by installing, copying or otherwise using the Software you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, RevTek grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on computers owned or controlled by you or your organization, solely for the purpose of synchronizing structural design data between Autodesk Revit and Tekla Structures within projects your organization is authorized to access.
2. Account and Organization Access
Use of the Software requires a RevTek user account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Access to project data is governed by the organization and project memberships assigned to your account by your organization's administrators. You must not attempt to access projects, organizations or data that you have not been granted access to.
3. Restrictions
You may not, and may not permit any third party to: (a) copy, modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the Software; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law; (c) rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute or otherwise transfer the Software to any third party; (d) remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notices on the Software; (e) use the Software to build a competing product or service; (f) circumvent or disable any licensing, security or update mechanism of the Software; or (g) use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
4. Project Data and Third-Party Software
The Software reads and writes structural model data in Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit and stores project, element and change-request data in RevTek cloud services so that it can be shared between members of your organization. You retain all rights to your project data. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the models you synchronize and for reviewing every design change before it is applied to a production model. Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit are the property of their respective owners and are licensed to you separately under their own terms; RevTek is not affiliated with or endorsed by Trimble or Autodesk.
5. Updates and Telemetry
The Software may automatically check for, download and install updates to keep your installation current and secure, and may require an update before continuing to operate. To diagnose problems and improve the Software, RevTek collects operational telemetry such as plugin and host application versions, the operations performed, the identifiers of the elements and change requests affected, timings, and error information. Telemetry is associated with your account and organization and is used only to operate, support and improve the Software.
6. Intellectual Property
The Software is licensed, not sold. RevTek and its licensors own and retain all right, title and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you, whether by implication, estoppel or otherwise.
7. Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. RevTek may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time if you breach these Terms or if your organization's subscription ends. Upon termination you must stop using the Software and uninstall all copies. Sections 3, 6, 8, 9 and 10 survive termination.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, REVTEK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. REVTEK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY MODEL SYNCHRONIZATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL ENGINEERING OUTPUT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL REVTEK OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR FOR THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. REVTEK'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOUR ORGANIZATION FOR THE SOFTWARE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RevTek regarding the Software and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full force. RevTek may update these Terms from time to time; the version accompanying the Software installer or made available at the RevTek website at the time of installation applies. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
11. Support and Contact
Support is provided to organizations with an active RevTek subscription. Questions about these Terms or the Software may be directed to your RevTek account representative or to the RevTek support channel provided to your organization.
By accepting these Terms you acknowledge that you have read and understood them and agree to be bound by them.
